Vital Roots Nutrition was created to make nutrition care feel more personal, practical, and approachable. Based in Sault Ste. Marie, we support children, families, and adults through evidence-based nutrition counselling that is tailored to each person’s needs, goals, and everyday routines.

Our care is rooted in the belief that nutrition should support your life, not add more stress to it. Whether you are navigating feeding challenges with your child, managing a health condition, preparing for pregnancy, or looking for more confidence with food, our approach is warm, realistic, and focused on sustainable progress.

PRACTICAL CARE, CLOSE TO HOME

Vital Roots Nutrition was founded by Jordan Dubie with a passion for helping individuals and families access supportive, practical, and compassionate nutrition care close to home.

Jordan began her career working in public healthcare settings, including pediatric care during her internship and later in diabetes education and family health teams. Through these experiences, she developed a deep appreciation for the work being done across the healthcare system and the importance of collaborative, community-based care. She also recognized that many individuals and families were facing long wait times or barriers to accessing timely nutrition support, particularly in pediatric care and for adults without access to a family physician.

Wanting to help bridge that gap, Jordan launched Vital Roots Nutrition to provide flexible, accessible private nutrition services in Sault Ste. Marie. Her vision was to create a welcoming practice where individuals and families could access high-quality nutrition care in a timely manner, either through private payment or extended health benefits, while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in the community.

What began as a pediatric-focused practice has since expanded to support clients of all ages and stages of life. Today, Vital Roots Nutrition offers one-on-one nutrition counselling, cooking classes, workshops, parent education sessions, and community programming, with a continued goal of making nutrition care approachable, empowering, and accessible.
